Doing it right!
I bought the installer, washer and spacer to install 16 studs on an old tractor. I knew using the lug nuts would never hold up because the threads are slightly oversize as all lug nuts are. The threads in the installer are very long and to size. No damage to any of the new studs or the installer. I could only do a couple studs at a time because of the friction heat generated so I spaced the installation out about every ten minutes. I did grease the threads and the tool surface areas but it took a lot of pressure to pull the studs in.
